I had read Mark Morford's column on SFGate.com about how moving the pictures were of the same-gender couples finally able to marry in New York, and amongst the overwhelming positive comments were, of course, those of dissention, disagreement, and some with downright hateful sentiments. One woman invoked the chorus of this song, and I immediately heard the tune go through my head, and remembered most of the lyrics... feeling that powerful sentiment of love and embracing love as a life-changing ingredient in one's existence, I felt that this was one song that I didn't chose, but instead IT chose ME.

This is a first-cut from my little studio, and I hope to have a more polished version sometime in the next week or so... after all, day job, small biz, running an organization and other realities of life's responsibilities do have to be stirred into the mix along with my love of singing and music.
