I had been approached by one of the members of this FABULOUS 4-woman Bay Area acapella group called OUT ON A CLEF (please, go visit their website and go HEAR them at a live performance! http://www.outonaclef.com ) -- to re-write a "deranged" version of "Mr. Sandman" awhile ago. We all got busy on other projects, and finally this past week, I finished the tongue-in-cheek version on a quiet Sunday afternoon when I had a block of open time to finish it. Voila! "MRS. SANDMAN" I thought the lyrics were perfect for their eyebrow-raising lyrical style.

Alas, they have already been performing another version of "MR. Sandman" so this version, called "Mrs. Sandman", was now floating around in my song universe. Well, no sense letting hilarity go to waste, so I decided to record it myself (after finding a karaoke version of the song that had NO background vocals echoing the original lyrics).

I think any gal who's wondered if "Ms. Right" would come sauntering along someday will really get a kick out of this.
