K.C. Frogge: Bio
"I've enjoyed singing as long as I can remember, and discovered that I had a knack for putting words to music a long time ago, yet never knew quite what to do with it until about six years ago, when I veered directly into the path of an oncoming life. I found a creative desire deep within that led me to write compelling, poetic lyrics and then put them to music in song. I've learned so much, and still have an ocean's worth of knowledge to navigate, yet I'm having fun finding out what I'm made of in this journey along the winding path of life."
When K.C. picks up a pen to write a song, it's like a fine artist selecting a paintbrush, examining the subject before painting, and then, speaking in a language of broad, passionate strokes paired with fine details, expressing volumes with one canvas. She "paints" incredibly moving pictures with her lyrics and vocals.
With a classic rock influence as her background while growing up in Kansas City (yes, that's how she got her nickname), K.C. writes and performs with a distinctively rock flavor. Her songs range in style from melodic rock, folk rock, and country rock to ballads, and she's recently been inspired to write several hilarious parody songs to keep you laughing.
K.C.'s voice takes listeners for a memorable ride with her almost 3-octave range. She's been described as a "vocal rollercoaster" and continues to soar with her diverse and intensely moving lyrical and musical compositions.
K.C.'s country-rock-flavored song, "Comfortable Shoes," is an audience favorite, the title being a metaphor for the ideal relationship, delivered with an upbeat, memorable melody and rhythm. Listeners envision music videos from lyrical imagery of her other originals including "Car at the End of the World," "Sure Thing," "Don't Follow Me," "Could You Think?," "Dear Amanda," "Out Of Sight," "Life on Wheels," and "Don't Save A Rocking Chair For Me." K.C.'s compelling lyrics and unique vocals, combined with her richly layered compositions, make her a truly engaging artist.
New songs on her next album, "Into the Path of an Oncoming Life" (which is in the early stages of pre-production), will include "Golden Globe," "I Won't Be Here Forever," "Meet You Halfway," "Wings on Earth," and "Scent of the Rain." "Into the Path...", while having been delayed because of a segue into another gleaming creative endeavor, original artisan jewelry design (which collection can be seen at www.kcfdesigngroup.com), is now targeted for a mid-2010 release, and will contain a compelling collection of 14 new songs.
